One color for every date
The palette covers all 366 days of a leap year. January 1 opens the year in deep winter, the colors walk through spring greens, summer aquas and autumn ambers, and December closes on frost and midnight. Because the table is fixed, a date always returns the same color.
Where the palette comes from
The 366 colors were commissioned for this site and placed in day order, following the seasons. Each entry is a named color with a hex value you can use in any design tool. None of it is scraped from elsewhere, which is why the names here read like paint chips rather than like a random number generator.
How to look yours up
Use the finder: pick the month and day of your birthday and the page for that date opens with the swatch, the hex code, the color word and the palettes built around it. Nothing is stored and no account is needed.
What a color word means
A color word is a one-word mood label, like the name on a paint chip. It is a short handle for the feeling of the color. It is not a personality test and it does not describe everyone born on that date.
What to do with it
People use their color as a wallpaper, a notebook cover, a nail color, a background for a birthday card or a small accent in a room. If you want the full set, the color report widens it into palettes, tints and shades.
